crumbling castles

Finished painting up this large scenery set for Warcry, the Defiled Ruins. I actually haven't played Warcry yet, but I imagine these'll be useful for all kinds of games. I'm already planning to use them for a Forbidden Psalm campaign.

It was kind of relaxing doing all the drybrushing, just going back and forth with a big makeup brush. I went with gray stones and brown bricks instead of the sandstone-looking color scheme on the box to make it look more Castlevania.

Behold my primitive attempt at OSL. Anyways, looking forward to playing with these.

big blue

Finished up this Fomoroid Crusher for Warcry and solo games of Warhammer Underworlds.

There are a few things I'd probably do differently if I were to start another, but I think it'll look fine on the board.

vroom vroom

Found some time between homework assignments to put the finishing touches on my Gaslands demo teams. Four teams, with colors inspired by the beach bar I used to work at (and where I found, like, half of the Hot Wheels cars I've modded).

I am inordinately proud of the job I did on these tiny drivers for the green and yellow teams.

Drivers are from North Star Figures (from their wonderful "Implements of Carnage" kit), weapons from North Star and from an Etsy 3d print shop (CreepyHeroGames). Had a lot of fun making these, and hoping to try them in a game sometime soon-ish.

getting back into things

Trying to get back into good habits. Been painting up some stuff for Warhammer Underworlds lately.

Ironsoul's Condemnors: These Stormcasts were done quickly with contrast paints to a tabletop-standard. Absolutely love that Talassar Blue.

Lady Harrow's Mournflight: A little more effort went into the banshee warband - some highlighting, drybrushing, and a few details from among their costumes and weapons. Very pleased with how they turned out.

And some things to come. The big fella is a Fomoroid Crusher to use with the solo rules they published last year, and the other shot shows some of the terrain I've been painting up.

a game of armored combat

The Battletech Kickstarter has finally come through, and I've got a nice new pile of tiny robots to paint up and rules to read.

I was hoping to get a little more practice in with the starter sets before this arrived, but quarantine has killed that plan. Still, I managed to get all the little robots from the first two boxes painted up, at least.

Some of these were among the first minis I'd painted since middle school, so they're a little rough here and there, but I think the paint scheme works to bring them all together. Here's hoping I get a chance to play with them sometime within the next year or two!
